We are the Thomann.io Data Division, a group of people from the fields of Data Analytics/-Science, BI, Data Engineering, Digital Analytics and Measurement. Our mission is to expand our cloud-based data warehouse to create data driven added-value in almost all essential business areas, such as our website and app, marketing, purchasing and logistics.
To strengthen our data analytics/-Science unit, continuing to build our reporting landscape while starting to use machine learning to support our business objectives, we are looking for a talented (Senior) Data Analyst / Data Scientist (f/x/m) to join our team either in Berlin or Erlangen, or remotely within Germany.
Dr. Deep Dive - You always are curious about how things work? And if you understand some new things, the next thing you gonna do is to ask more questions and try to find the answers? Perfect - that’s what we need!
An Insight Lover - You love to extract knowledge from data? You will analyse, interpret and visualise data from different data sources of essential business areas, with a focus on logistics for the beginning, to provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
A Translator - You love to find a way to explain complex topics to people from other fields in a way that also your pet would understand? Sounds like a match!
A Machine Learning Maverick - You love to work on ML topics and bring them into production! Topics like Sales Forecasting make you all tingly.
A Knowledge Broker - You have a curious mindset and love to stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to e-commerce, Data Analytics and Data Science to bring new knowledge into the team? Perfect!
Our current Tech-Stack:
5+ years of experience in Data Analytics and Data Science
English and German both conversational (C1)
(a big plus:) You already conducted analysis for logistics and are aware of how logistic processes work
Ability to work autonomously, are a good communicator, and keep your stakeholders up to date on the latest developments in your projects.
Know how to use techniques of machine learning to generate cool insights
Able to write efficient, accurate and consistent SQL queries and python code
Actively challenge project approaches and internal processes to sustainably improve them
Not only able to use ML algorithms, but you also understand how they work
You worked closely with data engineers and can translate the data needs of your stakeholders into their language.
Open to travel on a regular basis
